about me

My first yoga training was in children’s yoga, this made sense to me as I had been working with children in various capacities for a long time. I trained with Bryony Duckitt from YogaBeez, a real pioneer in the UK children’s yoga community. I absolutely loved it, and about a year after my training I had transitioned fully into teaching yoga. I teach all age groups, from babies to adults and everything in between!

Working in schools and privately I came to realise that there was also a real need for yoga for children with ASD. I trained with Nicole Zimbler and Veronika Pena de la Jara from Yotism, who specialise in yoga for autism. I completed the Foundation and Advanced training as well as a module in Reflex yoga.

After a few years of working with children I felt that I wanted to deepen my knowledge of yoga further and so decided to do a 200hrs adult training. I did this with Universal Yoga, which is led by Charlotta Martinus, from the Teen yoga foundation and Rebekah Abhaya. This led me into the world of teaching adult yoga, which I am also very passionate about! I am currently half way through a 300hr training with Brahmani yoga, the 200 hrs just whetted my appetite and I wanted to learn more!

Sharing this practice with people of all ages is so joyful for me and I feel truly grateful that this is my job!

Outside of yoga my other big passion is outdoors and gardening. I love to spend days and nights out wild camping, and I have done some really interesting outdoor personal development work. On the weekends I am often to be found at the community gardening project I started about 8 years ago, and now help to run. One day I would love to combine yoga and outdoor learning in some way, that’s the dream!

what I offer...

yoga in schools

Yoga as part of the curriculum, after school clubs, healthy living week or exam preparation, let me know your yoga needs and I can tailor a programme for your school or orginisation.

yoga for young people

From the age of 2 up to teens, I love to practice yoga with all age groups. I like to share children’s yoga in a multi sensory way, teaching the whole child. It is a joy to share this practice with young people exploring through many topics (nature, science, geography..)and mediums (play, storytelling, visualisation, art, music…), the possibilities are infinite! I strongly believe in providing young people with a toolbox of useful practices and experiences that they can use to navigate themselves, and their lives.

adult classes

I am interested in encouraging a fully embodied experience during my yoga classes, by moving away from some of the more traditional asana forms. By delving into how the body wants and is designed to move we can explore patterns that arise from our movement or lack of it and through this enable a deeper connection to what we are feeling and sensing.

yoga for ASD

yoga for young people and adults with ASD can be profoundly powerful. Finding tools and practices to help self regulate and/or stimulate can be very helpful on a practical level. Yoga can have a very profound effect on the way our nervous system functions bringing real benefit to those that practice.

welcome to the virtual world!

pre-recorded and live classes available for children and adults

Would you like to practice in the comfort of your own home? Do you live too far away to join class? You can book a one to one, or live group session with me .

Having to quickly adapt to online teaching during the Covid 19 pandemic was a steep learning curve, and one that I have ultimately found really positive.

Via Zoom I have been able to make classes really interactive and enable people to practice togther that wouldn't normally be able to do so.

'yoga was a fabulous option for our boys in the middle school. both they and the staff bought into it without fail based in the way you presented it to them from the first minute in the first lesson. the benefits ranged from boys simply discovering and thus engaging in a new physical activity to increased flexibility and injury prevention/reduction.'
